PLTR's tape, ominous signs are starting to print, as buying momentum appears to have stalled above the $190 level, which has discernibly impeded its upward bias since August 2025.
Could it be an imminent sign of a deeper pullback that could take the stock back to the support levels at $140? For now, the signs aren't pointing to that reality yet, but the advancing phase also appears to have slowed down in the past four months.
Palantir's meteoric rise isn't a fluke, and is also predicated on highly unstable geopolitical tensions between the US and China. Moreover, in the inevitable battle for AI supremacy between these two superpowers, Palantir is now increasingly seen as a pivotal lever, particularly as the US Navy seeks to regain clout in shipbuilding, while latching onto Palantir's expertise through the ShipOS collaboration.
That said, I must also highlight that PLTR's growth rates are still projected to slow through 2027 (down from a forecasted 54% in 2025 to a projected 37% in FY2027). Thus, I think it's unreasonable for the company to still be able to command such an eye popping growth premium above the 200 forward P/E level with growth rates anticipated to slow down markedly over the next couple of years.
